The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Site Contracts Coordinator’s role is to ensure Contractor performs all requirements per the contract and to coordinate interfaces post-contract award with Contractor site contracts teams. Supports Company requirements and provides assistance with any contractual inquiries. Oversees processes, evaluates contract changes and reviews contractual documentation to ensure the project is executed in accordance with Company requirements and expectations.
The responsibilities of the Site Contracts Coordinator include performing contract management activities in accordance with agreed principals. Aligns / works closely with members including Construction, Engineering, Business Services and Calgary Contracts Administrators. These duties include but not limited to:

•Establish and maintain master site contract files of record as required.
•Review and coordinate the approval of all Contractor required submittals.
•Support and attend weekly progress review and change order negotiation meetings.
•Coordinate and document all site communications with Contractor and ensure such documentation is properly signed and maintained.
•Ensure all Contractor required site reports are submitted in a timely and correct manner, and format.
•Manage change logs, identify contract changes and determine how to best contractually address.
•Coordinate and effective claims avoidance, prevention and management program.
•Support contract close-out activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Senior professional position with broad project experience; specifically in contract management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skill Area Proficiencies
• Expert proficiency in contracts administration for major capital projects.
• Understands and is proficient in contractual language and claims mitigation.
• Competent to Expert proficiency in most Project Management skills.
(e.g. cost estimating, project controls, execution planning, contracting, planning & scheduling).

Qualifications and Experience
•BS/MS.
•3-5 years in projects.
•10-15 years experience in a variety of contract administration positions.
