The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
Provision of Document Control support activities in support of site for the Receipt, registration, transmittal of internal and external documentation and non conformance. Understanding the project handover process to allow subsystem handover, organizing and coordinating activities to ensure the correct documentation arrives in a timely manner. Co-ordinate the documentation in preparation for handover in the phases required.
Assist in the printing and Issuing of documentation and drawings as required
Handle the Design Change Notes / Production Permits/ Concessions//RFI’s using the Company in-house electronic systems.
Distribute documentation in a timely fashion to agreed distribution matrices or as directed by engineering
Maintain LTQR files, collate data relevant to discipline and file accordingly.
Attend weekly Document Control meeting
Expedite quality / engineering documentation that is not delivered by the planned date and inform the Manager if Engineers, contractors or suppliers are not complying with requirements.
Set up, prepare and record documentation and systems in preparation for handover
Carry out weekly compliance checks on site and within the office
Large amounts of paperwork.

You are expected to maintain a high degree of accuracy to ensure the integrity of the databases / spreadsheets and minimise consequential action as a result of errors.
Effective communication at all levels is essential.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education to a good general standard.
Computer skills, Word, Excel & EDMS Experience- Documentum – D2 experience preferred
A good clerical background preferably within engineering. Document control and filing.
Time required to learn the job – one week plus additional items as they arise.
Accuracy is most important together with the ability to handle large amounts of paperwork often to short timescale.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Effective communication at all levels is essential
In order to deliver the service effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and often outside normal working hours. Such duties, however, will fall within the scope of the post.
