The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for 2 Health and Safety Advisors based in Darwin to join the project, the two roles can either be on a FIFO basis or residential based in Darwin central.

Under the direction of the Site Lead HS Advisor this position will have responsibility for overseeing Contractor HS activities to ensure compliance with Contractor and Contractual requirements and also oversight of client HS requirements as they relate to companies activities and personnel.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company's policies and procedures.
• Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• Assist in implementation of HS processes, procedures, plans and ER documentation, aligned with Project and company'srequirements for DOC.
• Provide support, assurance and expert advice on matters relating to HS management systems to achieve HS objectives and performance targets.
• Monitor HS objectives, targets and performance standards, monitoring and verification programmes, to ensure company'sHS expectations are being achieved by Contractor and Subcontractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this roles you must demonstrate knowledge and experience of the following:

• Least a Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience within major projects. Previous LNG experience is desirable.
• Experience coaching personnel, providing assurance and implementation of HS systems on major projects.
• Understanding of Project Construction process and the HS considerations associated with the Project phases.
• Provide positive leadership and promote a learning and supportive environment.
• Knowledge of applicable statutory requirements.
• Awareness of cross-cultural diversity, customs and values.
