The Company:
A Major Supplier and Manufacturer of Plastics and Resins Within the Industrial Sectors (based in Johor, Malaysia)

The Role:
• Develop and maintain Plant Asset Register. This will include equipment maintenance strategies.
• Develop and implement Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program for the plant.
• Identify spare holding requirements for plant equipment
• Identify equipment with problematic maintenance issues. Investigate and analyse equipment breakdown and its downtime. Use results for plant equipment reliability improvement.
• Plan and co-ordinate all necessary plant shut down for maintenance, inspection or repairs.
• Be the liaison person with DOSH on matters pertaining to FMA 1967 and OSHA 1994 related to asset integrity e.g. inspections.
• Maintain Site Engineering Standard according to the Company's SHEMS 14.0 on Engineering Standards and Asset Integrity.
• Identify and maintain a SHE Critical Equipment Register. Special maintenance attention is to be provided for items in the SHE Critical Equipment Register.
• Conduct daily tool box meeting to members of the Maintenance team and Boiler House.
• Run the daily morning meeting, reporting and liaising with other department to resolving any production issues that arises.
• Oversee Maintenance and Boiler House team members’ attendance. Attend to cases of absenteeism, lateness, and medical leaves. Provide counselling as necessary
• Coordinate, manage and implement all site engineering projects.
• Prepare monthly report on plant engineering and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate training program for new process technicians and to monitor progress.
• Attend necessary training and be appointed as Authorised Permit to Work Issue/Acceptor.
• Attend necessary training and be appointed as Authorised Confined Space Entry Supervisor
• Attend necessary training and be appointed as the MoC Administrator for QP Site
• 1Co-ordinate all plant modifications on the site in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe, ensure and comply with Site Safety Rules
• 2Observe SHE requirement as spelled out in the company SHE Policy and SHEMS procedures
• Have the authority to shut down any site activity that is deemed unsafe.
• Participate in monthly Site SHE Inspection
• Participate in monthly PtW monitoring exercise
• Participate in monthly MOC monitoring exercise
• Participate as a member of the site ERT team
• Participate as a SHE Committee member

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Needed Requirements:

Degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years related working experience within chemical industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Strong people management experience
Solid hands-on experience overlooking a Plant
