The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:

The Mechanical engineer is expected to display HSSE leadership promote Project HSSE expectations, behaviours and working practices with vendors and contractors personnel.
Be familiar with all aspects of construction, mechanical completion, commissioning and system handover processes for mechanical static and rotating equipment.
Show literacy in reading of engineering drawings including P&IDs, D&IDs, GAs and schematic diagrams.
Provide regular communication of system status, schedule issues, quality issues, etc to the Completions Team Leader.
Familiarise oneself with construction scope. Identify opportunities for early mechanical completion of sub-systems and drive contractor to completion
Assure rigorous implementation of approved construction method statements by attendance at QC inspections as driven by the approved Inspection & Test Plans.
Ensure preservation and maintenance of static & rotating mechanical equipment is being carried out in a controlled and approved manner.
Assure correct implementation of Hydrotesting, leak testing and joint integrity activates.
Assure rigorous implementation of approved commissioning procedures.
Display good knowledge of HVAC equipment function, construction and commissioning.
Be familiar with project completions systems and ‘as building’ of engineering documentation.
