The Company:
Our client has been established for over 20 years locally and is focused on delivering design solutions to the nuclear industry, specialising in the design of mechanical handling plant and equipment, the design and installation of plant control systems and the provision of support to plant safety reviews.

The Role:
Managing the operational day to day interface between SL site team and JFN
Overseeing of all ROV/Tooling related operational activities.
Responsibility for the reporting of all activities and interfaces to the ROV Operations Manager
Management / Supervision of shift teams comprising Site Engineers and Technicians (Up to 3 persons per team).
Ensure completeness of work packages presented to the client for comment, review, approval etc.
Organise operational team’s workload with team members. Programme and monitor such workload.
Interface with client on operational related matters including Requests for Information, Technical Queries etc.
Attend all discipline related meetings with client
Be fully aware of the emergency arrangements for the site and their work areas, and their role in relation to those they supervise.
Understand the specific requirements on site for reporting, recording and investigating events.
Interface with all discipline related sub-contractors and suppliers. Ensure sub-contractor/supplier deliverables are in compliance with the clients requirements/specifications.
Be familiar with the requirements for CE Marking and Machineries Directive.
Produce Operational Risk assessments, Method statements and have an understanding of ‘Safe systems of work’.
Production of documentation to include daily logs, test documents, procedures and flowcharts;
Ensure training of all equipment is cascaded to all team members;
Ensure maintenance is carried out on all equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule;
Strong discipline related technical knowledge

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
ONC in a related Engineering discipline together with a time served apprenticeship.
Preferred Qualification:
HNC or equivalent in a related Engineering discipline.
5 years minimum of Engineering or Design experience, of which 3 years should be within the Nuclear Industry and at a supervisory/management level.
