Fircroft are seeking a Site Piping Inspector for a contract position within Angola

RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Piping Inspector
Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to piping during the construction to ensure adherence to the Company technical requirements and applicable codes. Line of reporting will be the Supervisor/Lead Inspector
Provide weekly input to the QMS reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems.
Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems.
Provide early detection of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed.
Verify accuracy and completeness of EPCI Contractor’s hydrotest packs and that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated and certified accurate.
Monitor in process and hold point Inspection on equipment and/or material during construction and/or assembly in accordance with the EPCI Contractor’s ITP.
Verify all the work is built in accordance to the design and verify with approved drawings.
Attend and witness testing associated with piping and systems. Typical tests include, but are not limited to NDT of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, hardness tests, coatings and other piping QC activities as designated on the approved Inspection Test Plan for the EPCI Contractors and their Subcontractors. PWHT activity is also included
Verify that post testing re-instatement works are completed
Assist in Verification, Monitoring and Close-out of Punch Lists;
Where Nondestructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the Work, the Inspector is required to witness or review NDT programs and results.
Review EPCI Contractor’s completion files progressively for accuracy, legibility, and adequacy.
