The Role:
Site based Planning Engineer – WA – 11/3 or 23/5 rosters - $$ Exc + Roster Bonus

My client is looking for a Site Planner to develop, analyse and report on the status of the Site based Project through the use of scheduling and other associated Project Control systems. This position reports to the Project Controls Manager, Lead Planner or as designated by the Project organisation structure and will require direct interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and the Management Team. Responsibilities and competencies are as follows:

• Responsible for all assigned planning activities on the Project as directed by the Management Team (including but not limited to schedule development and updates,
deliverable compilation, progress updates etc).
• Responsible for preparing and defining the WBS in consultation with the Project Team
• Responsible for the collection, accurate interpretation and diligent incorporation and presentation of planning and scheduling data from the Project Team and into the EPCM
systems (including EMS and Primavera).
• Responsible for compliance with approved Procedures.
• Responsible for identification and / or preparation, presentation and incorporation of Changes to Project Scope of Work.
• Project specific responsibilities may vary and will be assessed according to requirements and capabilities
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential
• Schedule interpretation and analytical skills are essential
• Sound understanding of Critical Path Methodology
• Sound understanding of Earned Value and Performance methodologies is essential
• Report writing and presentation skills are essential

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary level qualification in an Engineering discipline is preferred
• At least 5 years Planning experience inclusive of 3 years Project (EPCM) Planning is required, with Railway experience preferred
• At least 3 years Primavera Planning software experience essential
• Advanced Microsoft excel experience is essential
• Microsoft Access experience is preferred
