The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and gas operator and has operations though out the world

The Role:
As part of continual expansion they are actively looking to recruit a Site Process Engineer based in Azerbaijan

The role of the Site Process Engineer is to provide onsite technical expertise to the Operations and
Maintenance teams on the platform.

The role is field based and will be sited on one of the clients offshore production platforms and will be on a 28 day on, 28 day off schedule.

Examples of this support include,
• Process safety hazard identification, risk assessment and management
• Process surveillance, optimization and troubleshooting
• Root cause failure analysis
• Process defect identification and elimination
• Application of Engineering and Site Technical Practices

The Site Process Engineer is a stand alone engineering resource and point of contact, directly serving the operating teams where possible or acting as the technical conduit between the site and the Area Engineering Support Team, which is located in Baku. The Site Process Engineer is expected to be expert in the Process/Process safety disciplines and knowledgeable regarding other engineering disciplines

Ensure safe, reliable operations:
• Eliminate process safety defects through engineered solutions

Management of technical interfaces between Site and Baku office staff:
• Advise on priorities and emerging hazards
• Advocate for site priorities
• Initiate engineering tasks based on site defects and opportunities

Adherence to Engineering Technical Practices:
• Ensures engineering work complies with technical practices Coach and Train
• Advance the knowledge and capacity of the site organization in the area of process safety and systematic process reliability.

Knowledge, Education and Skills

• University Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
• Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in Engineering, supporting on-going operations.
• Fluent in English
• Familiar with industry practices for Process Safety Management, e.g. HAZOP or PHA.
• Physically fit for working in an offshore environment
• Experience working in a developing country.
• Familiar with Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Level of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
• Familiar with Instrumented Protective Systems (IPS)
