The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
The Site Project Control Lead will have the responsibility:

• Establish the project controls function of for Muskrat Falls Generation including all planning/scheduling, cost estimating, cost budgeting, cost control, change management and progress and performance management.
• Provide project status awareness and analysis to the Management Team through determination of control baselines and progress measurement in relation to cost, schedule and risk.
• Integrate and consolidate project controls inputs from third party engineering, construction contractor, suppliers and Site Teams so as to ensure that timely and accurate cost, schedule, progress, trend and forecast data is available.
• Support Change Management and Trend identification and management process.
• Perform reviews on control output data and information (cost, schedule, progress, changes, trends and forecasts)
received from engineering, construction contractors, suppliers and site teams to validate accuracy. Where gaps exist, make appropriate gap closure recommendation and implement such recommendations.
• Provide accurate forecast and stewardship reporting.
• Prepare monthly report; receive/review input, coordinate with managers and leads for commentary, progress and statistics.
• Communicate key project control strategies, policies and requirements criteria to lead project controls personnel (project home office and site locations) for implementation of procedures.
• Ensure functional applications of project controls are practiced effectively by all organizations involved.
• Develop and update Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Code of Accounts (CCA).
• Liaison among Project Controls, Muskrat Falls Generation Management and LCP Functional departments. Resolve project controls issues between all stakeholders.
• Provide advice regarding contracting, sub-contracting and execution strategies as well as maintaining procedures for the execution of the Component's scope of work.
• Participate in weekly management meetings in the interest

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Site Project Control Lead will have previous experience:

A minimum of 15 years experience in the project controls function of large projects including construction sites, including at least one (1) mega-project. Exposure to project management from both an owner and contractor prospective, and knowledge of project controls approaches used by best-in-class companies.
• Well-rounded project controls management skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Able to do hands-on project controls work if required.
• Working knowledge of project controls software and interrelationships.
• Commercially astute individual with a strong background in cost analysis.
