The Company:
A major operator requires a Site QA Lead.

The Role:
Based at the manufacturers work site in Angola you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtaining current specifications/requirements along with verifying compliance with those specifications and requirements and ensuring that evidence of that compliance is provided in the Data Book
• Maintaining regular communication with designated COMPANY point of contact regarding the status of Supplier order(s).
• Monitoring day to day practices within the Supplier facility to verify that work is performed safely.
• Monitoring progress of manufacturing at Supplier facility and provide timely information regarding schedule slippage, especially delays resulting from rework or non-conformances.
• Documenting and reporting all inspections / observations in a clear, objective, and timely manner.
• Issuing inspection release certificates when all requirements have been met.
• Complying with all HSSE policies and procedures of COMPANY.
• Attend pre-production meetings
• Verification of correct materials, calibration/ reference items and equipment
• Verification of supplier inspections
• Verification of stock levels where possible
• Verify competence of operators/technicians/welders
• Verify materials, equipment and parts are handled and stored correctly
• Verify management of non-conformances
• Supervise and monitor the coordination of the resolution of NCRs
• Participate in Root Cause Analyses as required
• Coordinate submission of concessions and deviations in the appropriate system
• Verify corrective actions are completed and effectively implemented
• Issue inspection release certificates
• Surveillance of
o Welding operations
o Non-Destructive Examination activities
o Assembly processes
o Pressure testing
o Electrical testing
o FAT
o Packing
o Loadout
• Promotes supplier improvements which enable a reduction in COMPANY oversight
• Works with supplier to drive efficiency and performance against agreed KPIs
• Active participation in Project Kick-Off meetings
• Reports delivery performance against schedule [agreed milestones] including procurement, manufacturing, Capex activities, assembly & test. Confirms work scope completion.
• Identifies potential constraints and delivery risks and works with supplier and Delivery Leads to develop mitigation plans
• Managing receipt of Company Provided Items.
• Supports qualification testing activities at Supplier site
• Liaises with COMPANY Logistics to coordinate loadout of hardware deliverables
• Works with GSH Aftermarket team to provide support for umbilical management during storage, and resources for offshore execution activities.
• Provides support and feedback to Delivery Leads on risks and opportunities
• Full handover to Project Team, ensuring MRB is in place to agreed timescales

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working within umbilical manufacturing facility
• Strong manufacturing background, with focus on quality management
• Experience in welding, NDE, electrical cable and fibre optic testing.
• Good people skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with all facets and levels of the manufacturing organization
• 10 years relevant industry experience
