The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Site QC Inspector – Structural, to provide specialist Structural, Piping & Mechanical inspection and NDT competence to the onshore team in their over-sight of the Onshore Contractor, and to ensure company QC requirements are achieved for Onshore LNG plant. Some main duties and responsibilities include:
• Attend as the Company nominated representative for Structural discipline (and support mechanical & piping disciplines) witness and monitor intervention points on Site Construction ITPs,
• Continuously monitor and where required carry out joint surveillance inspection with the Contractor’s on site QC Counterparts,
• Review associated inspection records for completeness and accuracy,
• Monitor Subcontractor’s manufacturing processes (including technicians and inspector qualifications, Contractor’s inspector input, implementation of agreed procedures and construction drawings, implementation of testing etc),
• Monitor and ensure Contractor raises NCRs as and when non conformances are detected,
• Investigate the root cause of any NCR’s raised and report outcome to the Lead Quality Engineer,
• Monitor key testing and completeness of records (including NDT), and perform spot checks of associated records,
• Oversee Contractor’s Weld / NDT Data Base
• Periodic checks of Equipment Calibrations,
• Periodically check equipment storage and preservation,
• Participate in Company RFT program and monitoring of Contractor’s implementation,
• Participate in Tool Box talks, and
• Ensure discipline records are included for handover, including MDRs, and
• Produce formal reports of inspection carried out on the construction site

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will hold at least a degree and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:
• SMP inspector experience, mandatory
• AS3998 NDT Level 2 (RT & UT), or equivalent, mandatory
• AS 1554 and associated code experience
• Previous structural, mechanical & piping inspector experience on major Oil & Gas projects,
• Previous experience in modularised oil and gas plants,
• Experience in working as an inspector for the client team,
• Ability to prepare concise, legible reports of activities conducted.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Structural inspection for major oil and gas module projects
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Quality Control processes during construction of oil and gas module projects.
