The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for a Site Coatings QC inspector to participate in assuring compliance by the EPC Contractor and major Subcontractors in the discipline of Coatings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attend as the Company nominated representative for Coating discipline witness and monitor intervention points on Site Construction ITPs
• Continuously monitor and where required carry out joint surveillance inspection with the Contractor’s on site QC Counterparts
• Review associated inspection records for completeness and accuracy
• Monitor Subcontractor’s manufacturing processes (including technicians and inspector qualifications, Contractor’s inspector input, implementation of agreed procedures and construction drawings, implementation of testing etc)
• Monitor and ensure Contractor raises NCRs, as and when non conformances are detected
• Investigate the root cause of any NCR’s raised and report outcome to the Site Quality Lead and Lead Quality Engineer
• Monitor key testing and completeness of records (including adhesion tests, curing tests, final visual inspections, coatings thickness testing etc)
• Monitor Coating Qualification tests and verify Coating Operators Qualifications
• Periodic checks of Equipment Calibrations
• Periodically check equipment storage and preservation
• Participate in Tool Box talks
• Ensure discipline records are included for handover, including MDRs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will hold at least a tertiary qualification and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:

• Extensive experience in the field on Australian Oil & Gas Projects
• Previous coatings inspector experience on major Oil & Gas projects
• Previous experience in Marine environment coatings
• Experience in working as an inspector for the client team
• Ability to prepare concise, legible reports of activities conducted
