The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
The role is to provide support to the Upstream Construction Site Quality function.

Main responsibilities:
• Understand and proactively participate in HSSEQ project Objectives and associated KPIs;
• Implement the Construction Surveillance and Verification (CSV) process during the various Construction phases leading up to Mechanical Completion and monitor the performance of the Contractor and Sub Contractor on site
• When required, review Contractors and their supply chain providers procedures and Inspection and Test Plans;
• Conduct surveillance audits of the Principal Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers as defined in Corporate Procedures and Guidelines;
• Log corrective actions and track through to closure;
• Interface with the Independent Verification Body and the Contractors construction site teams;
• When required, attend quality meetings with Contractors and their supply chain providers;
• Rigorously monitor the quality of Contractor’s document and data deliverable up to and including handover;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Possess at least 5 years experience in Oil & Gas facilities;
• Diploma;
• Extensive experience in QA/QC(Civil);
• Quality Control and/or Surveillance methodology in a Project role;
• Previous experience conducting and inspecting activities associated with pressure testing including flange joint integrity requirements, dewatering, drying and cleaning;
• Assist in the approval of pipe welding methods, installation, inspection and testing, and procedures;
• Conduct surveillance inspection on Contractors scope of work covering both fabrication and installation of equipment and pipe materials ensuring compliance with specifications and codes;
• Inspect equipment/pipe supports and hangers to ensure all are assembled and secured correctly and that the line can be safely loaded;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally 2 years experience in projects for Operator;
• Experience in Water Treatment Plant would be an advantage
• Onshore Oil and Gas Industry or related Construction experience preferred;
• Hands-on experience of quality auditing; previous formal training desirable;
