The Role:
Effective execution of quality assurance activities
Compliance with engineering standards and specificiations for construction, shop fabrication, and maintenance
Establishment of the site QA organization and development of QA competencies
Continuous improvement in the site QA processes
Manages site wide Qualty Assurance (QA) activities in construction projects, turnarounds, routine maintenance and major maintenance
Work directly with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Turnaround Managers, and Maintenance Leaders to integrate QA activities into their work
Work with Discipline Managers to develop QA staff competencies, tools and processes in the discipline areas of Pressure Equipment/Civil, Rotating Equipment, Instrumentations and CSE, Electrical
Establish the processes and tools to monitor and report QA information of field and shop activities
Influence the effective execution of the Quality Control activities of site contractors.
Supervise department of QA inspectors – both Owner and Contract staff – consisting of all engineering disciplines
Although this role sits within the Projects and TA department, he/she has a functional line to the Site Engineering Manager and the Site Technical Manager in his/her management of QA activities site wide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical or other equivalent engineering discipline.
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in QA/QC in areas of construction, shop fabrication and/or maintenance support.
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in areas of construction, shop fabrication and/or maintenance support and a minumum of three (3) years experience in a management role.
Knowledge of Industry and/or company Design Specifications.
