The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities, extensive supporting infrastructure across the project site including the construction of a dedicated airfield and runway.

The Role:
A Site Quality Assurance Coordinator is required for the airfield construction in the Highlands of PNG. This role has a particular focus on the asphalt paving and road construction, airport runway construction, asphalt testing and batching, concrete placement and testing.

The Site QA Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring construction activities and ensure compliance with approved processes and procedures. Planning and Coordinating the inspection activities for discipline inspectors at site, you will implement the construction programme according to the approved plans and will report to the Site Quality Manager all statuses, issues and metrics. Working for the operator, you will provide oversight of Contractor’s implementation of their construction processes and procedures including:
– Review and comment on Contractor’s Site Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans
– Monitor and audit implementation of Contractor’s Quality Program
– Ensure Contractor’s surveillance activities are commensurate with Criticality Ratings
– Review Contractor’s site quality audit schedule, monitor contractor’s site audit program, and participate in selected site audits
– Evaluate and monitor implementation of Contractor’s site quality management systems
– Ensure Contractor is performing quality reporting per the contract

The position is a rotational position to the Highlands of PNG and is considered a challenging location. A comprehensive and rewarding bonus package is offered.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A strong knowledge in Civil works is required especially asphalt paving and road construction, airport runway construction, asphalt testing and batching, concrete placement and testing. You will have a proven background in systems completions and turn over certification / documentation, along with your demonstrated experience leading Quality Inspection teams in particular gained working in remote and undeveloped areas. You auditing / assessor qualification will be advantageous.
