The Company:
Our client is one of Australias largest oil and gas producers who is commited to help meet the worlds energy needs. The opportunity has arisen for two Project Site Safety Advisors to join their safety team based in Papua New Guinea on a 6 weeks on 3 weeks off rotation.

The Role:
• Promote safety awareness and safe performance among project team members, including consultants and contractor personnel through regular and continuing presence in the field.
• Coach and advise contractor/subcontractor safety professionals/management in risk management, incident investigation documentation, reporting, and follow-up, including root cause analysis and case management.
• Coach and mentor the implementation of the Project Observation and Intervention Program.
• Establish systems to proactively identify and eliminate or acceptably control (i.e. before the activity starts) hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Establish systematic methods to collate and track performance measurement data and to record and track identified and agreed actions to closure.
• Facilitate the provision of Safety training and induction briefings to team members and visitors to site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections/assessments on-site in accordance with established project and site safety plans or as requested by site team members.
• Communicate safety initiatives, achievements, experiences, and issues from other sites and projects with site team members and contractor/subcontractor safety advisors/management.
• Participate in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents; prepare notifications/reports for communication of significant incidents to company project/functional management per project incident reporting procedures and matrix.
• Collect and share safety lessons learned.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
You will possess strong project site experience, onshore pipeline experience would be highly regarded along with relevant qualifications or experience in safety management / risk management and training strongly preferred.
