The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
The Site Waste Characterization Coordinator is responsible for providing expertise for the Waste Module in the SAP system and for providing Waste Regulatory Expertise related to waste disposal for the site. The role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SAP Waste Module.
The intent is to provide a resource with expert knowledge in the use of the application and the work process that it supports. This role requires problem-solving skills to address a wide variety of issues related to application software, its use, and its output.
This role will work closely with the I&WT Department (OSMMU), Waste Generating Facilities, Dow Chemical HazCom group, EHS, Purchasing and Third Party Companies.

Responsibilities:

Following are the core responsibilities for the Site Waste Characterization Coordinator:
• Master Data Maintenance
• Provide tool support to users
• Support users by troubleshooting system errors and messages received during disposal processing
• Work closely with the EH&S technicians so that new and existing waste request are completed and processed correctly
In addition to the core SAP Waste Module SME responsibilities additional responsibilities include
• Support SAP Waste Module users to troubleshoot issues with Waste Module master data maintenance
• Initiate/Approve New Material Introduction (CMT) for Waste Materials, as requested by the end-user
• Set up new Waste business partners, as requested by the end-user
• Understand the Waste-related Purchasing transactions and information
• Provide technical support to the plants for the proper classification of new waste streams
• Develop a general understanding of Sadara chemistry so that the proper understanding of the waste streams request can be fully understood

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
College Degree Preferred (Chemistry, Engineering, Business Admin, Computer Science, or Other Relevant Degrees) but can also be filled by a person with sufficient relevant experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task a variety of activities at one time.
Strong computer technical skills and continued improvement in knowledge of critical desktop software
Detailed knowledge of the SAP Waste Module and associated work processes
Knowledge of SADARA and KSA Waste Regulations and Work Process
