The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

We are looking for an individual to work as a Project Engineer and has experience working with Site Work Permits.

The work location would be Muskrat Falls, NL

The Role:
Working as a Site Work Permit your main responsibilities and duties would include the following:

Develop and review status of Work Orders assigned to Site Maintenance Team
Track and Review Third Party Services information (including Site Service Contracts)
Ensure Site Procurement procedures are followed and system in place for tracking process
Working with the Site Manager and Resident Engineer (along with a Work Term Student)
Application and process of the work permit approval procedure
Receiving requests from Contractor issued through Document Control
Informing/validating with the Resident Engineer all requests
Send request response to LCPDCC to issue to Contractor
Maintain register in Aconex LCP Construction Management Module

This role will also include the oversight/coordination of the review, acceptance of all site permits and interactions between company and contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant Work Experience and Required Competencies:

1 to 3 years of experience preferred in technical as well as project management and construction roles, but
new graduates will also be considered.
Background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering in the construction of large construction projects.
Understanding of project management processes and management systems.
Background with resolution of construction / management issues during projects planning and execution phases.
