The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Monitor day to day performance of Contractor with regards to contractual agreements.
1. Act as a focal point for job specific health, safety and environment issues pertaining to the contractor.
2. Ensure the contractor receives site and unit indoctrinations covering the unit rules and policies, details of specific hazards, emergency procedures, block spill and containment plans.
3. Ensure the contractor has a copy or has access to any unit or site safety standards applicable to the present job.
4. Determine the need for a pre-job meeting to be held with the contractor and participates if necessary.
5. Determine if the contractor will require special training based on the nature of the job and the contractor’s previous training. Ensure training records are updated and forwarded to the Company Area Rep.
6. Ensure the contractor is included in any emergency drills that take place during the course of the job and copies the Company Area Rep on the results of the emergency drills.
7. Report any incidents to the Maintenance Responsible Care â Coordinator and respond to contractor concerns of unsafe conditions/practices in accordance with the process developed by the Company Area Rep.
8. Participates in accident/incident investigations and conduct behaviour audits field inspections during the course of the job.
9. Ensure follow-up of all related deficiencies noted on the field inspections requiring compliance with all Government and Company standards.
10. Document and summarizes audit results using the process developed by the Company Area Rep and complete closure requirements/ contractor evaluation form.
11. Using the process developed by the Company Area Rep ensures appropriate record keeping as required by law for contractors directed by the Company.
12. Ensure the plant equipment is made safe prior to turning over to the contractor for work.
13. Coordinate work done by other contractors to ensure the minimum interference between jobs as required and be knowledgeable in respect to the scope of the applicable job package.
14. Monitor contractor performance with regards to work quality and day to day contractor productivity to ensure the Company receives required service level from contractor employees.
15. Communicate scope changes and add-ons to appropriate partners (engineering, operations) and document contractor progress.
16. Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices are strictly comply with EH&S guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.
17. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
