The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Implement the most effective analytical tools to support process reliability and ensure product quality across operational unit; provide expertise to monitor and optimize the routine and non-routine analytical requirements for operational unit, and ensure Central Laboratory is prepared to meets the analytical needs.

1. Participate in a multi-functional team to support the plant projects related to process optimization and troubleshooting, audit gap resolution, and address customer complaints.
2. Recommend and ensure availability of required analytical instruments to support routine operation.
3. Provide analytical and process chemistry expertise to resolve process and product related problems.
4. Follow approved procedures and practices related to operation, maintenance, and calibration of the lab instruments.
5. Ensure the lab delivers accurate and timely analytical results per the sample plan and Service Level Agreement.
6. Implement Analytical Methods (ASTM / UOP/ Other standards methods) in the assigned labs; work with Day/shift technicians to validate / qualify new equipment and methods and monitor system capability / performance.
7. Conduct periodic visits to supported envelope, and participate with Operation / Engineering to evaluate & improve Plants performance.
8. Suggest and implement improvements for Laboratory services provided for operational units in alignment with business strategies and set goals.
9. Network with other technical personnel to stay current with relevant areas of analytical and process technologies and leverages technical solutions.
10. Improve and leverage Analytical Discipline and Procedures; anticipate / address lab or product quality problems, and conduct root cause analysis investigations and remediation.
11. Monitor analytical performance through the utilization of statistical tools, or Six Sigma Methodology, interpret results, and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
12. Participate in seminars, conduct presentations, and issue technical reports; document, communicate and archive analytical results.
13. Train and coach mentees as well as technician certification on analytical systems and technology.
14. Ensure sample plans for labs are current, accurate, and meet the needs of supported customers.
15. Work with Analyser Specialist/ Engineer to ensure reliable data is generated by the process on line analysers.
16. Apply and comply with ISO 9001 standard requirements and follow the laboratory and site safety procedures.
17. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 4 years Bachelor of Science Degree (BS), Master (MS), or (Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or equivalent.
5 Years of experience in the field of Analytical/Organic/Inorganic/Environmental Chemistry
