The Company:
Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company playing a key role in supplying energy to our region.

They are one of the world’s leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Role:
This position is to provide expertise in production allocation, meteringand implementation of commercial agreements within the Production AccountingSystem (PAS)

•Accountable for the management and governance over the productionallocation process and the overall accuracy of reported production data.

•Accountable for performing data validation on the hydrocarbon accountingsystem inputs and outputs and working with relevant operations stakeholders toensure data quality

•Accountable for ensuring daily and monthly reports are accurate and issued on time

•Accountable for the timely and accurate development or modification ofallocation models, calculations and reports based on requirements from bothinternal and external stakeholders

•Accountable for driving, challenging and influencing the outcomes of threats and opportunities impacting production allocation, measurement,performance monitoring and reporting

•Accountable for developing a management system covering processes and procedures for production allocation, measurement, performance monitoring and reporting

•Accountable for developing the QA management system for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of PAS data. For example,. metering calibration checks, frequency of calibrations, internalaudit on metering and measurement in assets

•Accountable for providing mentoring and guidance for the PAS team

•Responsible for influencing key Production stakeholders in the pursuit ofefficient, accurate and sustainable Hydrocarbon Accounting practices

•Responsible for providing advice and technical support to Project andDevelopment departments for new developments requiring PAS

•Responsible for providing high level technical expertise on types and application of metering and measurement systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experienced in hydrocarbon accounting processes, procedures and packages

•Detailed knowledge of oil and gas production systems from reservoir to market including hydrocarbon properties, sampling, well testing and PVT analysis

•Experienced in onshore & offshore and LNG operations

•Excellent communication and influencing skills (will deal with all levels of the business)

•Excellent planning and prioritisation skills

•Need to be able work sustainably and with discipline as role is data focused and will be required to follow processes and procedures and optimise the process so we don't rely on manual processes etc.

•Experienced in data collection and analysis

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor degree with a preference for the degree coming from technical fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science/Information Systems, Physics or Engineering (Process or similar disciplines).

•Experienced in database management and data extraction using tools such as Business Objects and Babelfish

•Commercial awareness and competency
