The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Automatic Transmission and/or electronic Shifter Control Unit hardware and software

Test Engineer
a) Development of software & hardware functional requirements for new vehicle programmes
b) Validation of the Control Unit hardware & software on Vehicles and HIL Test Rigs to new programme timing milestones.
c) Documentation of Control Module Engineering Sign-off to Design Verification Procedures.
d) Production release of Control Unit hardware & software into the Manufacturing & Service environments.
e) Development of improved test processes & procedures through automation or other efficiency gains.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience & knowledge of the specification, validation & engineering sign-off for Control Unit hardware & software (including diagnostics).
* Experience of Control Unit hardware & software testing & development at a system and vehicle level.
* Experience of CAN communication systems & analysis tools (e.g. CANalyser, INCA, Matlab, etc).
* Good Electronics background with experience of on time testing & development delivery of Electronic Control Units (in an Automotive or similar environment).
* Good experience & application of requirements capture techniques.
* Good problem solving techniques and skills, including experience of fault finding/system de-bugging.
* Good communication and presentation skills, good PC/IT skills, flexible, committed, self starter & a strong team worker.
* A valid UK driving licence (max 6 points)
Experience Required:
* Relevant qualifications in Automotive Engineering, Electronics, or Control Systems (Degree preferred but not essential).
