The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role reports to the NGI System Architecture Group Leader and as part of a team is responsible for NGI Software architectural strategy, development and implementation. A key requirement of this role will be interfacing and working with the NGI Software Integrator and software partners, solving complex architectural and software issues, providing architectural support for Infotainment Feature owners, HMI Engineers, Software test and validation engineers. A flexible working attitude is a must and candidates need to be prepared to travel to partner locations in Europe and India.

Skills Required:

- Excellent Knowledge of: Software system design o Software development, Operating Systems, Linux based distributions, Able to analyse and resolve complex hardware and software interrelated issues

Skills Preferred:

- Communication protocols
- IP Communications
- IPC methods

Experience Required:

- Good experience of software development and tools
- It is expected that the candidate will have developed through design implementation to architectural definition roles and should be able to demonstrate ability to make key software and system architectural decisions .

Experience Preferred:

- Working knowledge of C and C++
- System Integration of Infotainment with non-Infotainment systems.
- Infotainment System knowledge (Startup, shutdown, resource allocation, data storage, CCF, LCF etc )
- CAN(design, development and validation)"

Education Required:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
