The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
our Battery Vehicles, Hybrid and Plug in Hybrid Vehicles as well as other Propulsion and Vehicle Dynamics domain features and will work as part of the Advanced Engineering Architecture team to cover the functional integration of Advanced Engineering projects into these vehicles. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the robust definition and design of the vehicle and System Architectures.

Key responsibilities include the following:-
* Lead the definition and design of Vehicle and System Architectures for the Hybrid, Plug in Hybrid and Battery Vehicle Features
* Create System Architecture Diagrams of new Systems and Features using PREEvision
* Facilitate meetings between delivery stakeholders to iterate proposed System Architectures to an agreed solution
* Ensure system architecture design is optimised for the whole vehicle, rather than for individual systems and/or components
* Liaise with Electrical Technical Leads and core Electrical Subject Matter Experts to ensure all proposed System Architectures are feasible
* Develop system architectures that are 'package protected' for known future extensions and/or related features/systems
* Develop system architectures that are compatible with electrical system and commodity strategies
* Benchmark competitor vehicle System Architecture implementations
* Present System Architecture designs at the Electrical Tech Review when required
* Ensure a robust hand-over of System Architecture assumptions is achieved with mainstream stakeholders, including System Owners, Component Owners and Integration

Experience Required:
Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work with minimum supervision. Experience in developing new processes and procedures to improve quality and delivery. Flexibility to work across other sites as required. Able to demonstrate good project management experience and a track record of successful project delivery. Educated to degree level. Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS office Presentation skills. Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
