The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Responsible for the development of the specific controls and diagnostics algorithms for Electric Vechicle Battery Management System. Tasks include: Writing Control Systems in Simulink to meet Functional Safety requirements, fault handling and diagnostics. Code production of Simulink diagrams and testing in HIL and PIL Negotiate and agree requirements for the BMS with the High Voltage Battery Team Derive hardware specific diagnostics and safety requirements (as per ISO26262 Standard) Technical Interface with Functional Safety Team and Battery Pack Electronics Drive Technical Signal Interface of BMS with hardware supplier¿ Plan BMS release content and timing Support software development of other BMS functions Ability to guide software engineers in controls development tasks

Skills Required:
Capable in Simulink, Real-Time Workshop Target link Ability in implementing control systems into a production environment Good negotiating style with capability to achieve 'win win' situation in the implementation of requirements Ability in developing in-house controls / software ¿ Able to demonstrate understanding of requirements of Functional Safety, OBD, ISO26262 on software development. Can show capability in project management sufficient to keep software stream development on time

Skills Preferred:
