The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Development of the controls algorithm and new functionality for Hybrid and Electric vehicles. Development, test and simulation through Simulink/Stateflow. TargetLink/Embedded Coder used for production code. Documentation including model specifications and calibration guides. Accountable to Manager of the Advanced Hybrid Controls Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of model based (i.e. Simulink) automotive control systems development. Competent use of control unit test and development tools (e.g. INCA, Canalyser, Control Desk) Ability to follow and improve test procedures, collect, analyse and present test data. Capable of writiing and maintaining requirements for control software for real-time embedded systems. Capble of turning high level requirements into control code Capable of validating the control code through use of software validation tools and in the HIL environment Capable in Simulink, Real-Time Workshop and Target Link Capble of liaising with suppliers on control and software related issues.
Software development experience using Simulink / Matlab. Familiar with running oftest facilities such as HIL / SIL / vehicles. Experience of calibration and control of automotive Electronic Control Units. Analysis and presentation of test data

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in developing hardware specification for Automotive Electronic Control Units an advantage. An understanding of the engineering V & V process applicable to model-based design and software development Knowledge of Hybrid Vehicle Control Systems Experience of DOORS requirements management tool. Familiar with running of engine test facilities and vehicles. Analysis and presentation of test data Report writing.
