The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
This role will be within the Virtual Integration of Testing Automation Lab (VITAL) team. VITAL is based on Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environment and used to support embedded software validation testing at full vehicle system level (Level 5).
Key Responsibilities
Develop Full Vehicle Test Automation Scripts to support ECU Software Integration Testing.
Co-ordinate full vehicle Real Time Simulink modelling activity to support current and future vehicle program testing.
Support the integration of powertrain and chassis models into VITAL platforms.
Identify future HIL simulation capability (e.g. test automation) and work with the HILST Team Leader to develop and deploy new technology.
Support test engineer/ECU owner test requirement and develop related HIL capability to conduct the test robustly.
Liaise with program integration team to ensure robust gateway delivery of the ECU software.

Skills Required:
Significant experience in developing hardware-in-the-loop simulation Automation Testing and be very familiar with MxVDev, Phyton and Matlab.
Significant experience in hardware-in-the-loop simulation and test (HILST) using dSPACE and Mathworks products such as Simulink, Stateflow, Real-time Workshop and control desk.
Experience in resolving ECU software issue using HIL test rig.
Good understanding of Vehicle electrical infrastructure (e.g. vehicle diagnostics, vehicle CAN/LIN/FlexRay network and specialized knowledge on some individual ECUs in the vehicle)
Good project management skills for effective task delivery.
An Engineering Degree in an appropriate technical discipline such as Control and Simulation preferred.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of PCDS processes.
Experience in fault insertion simulation methods and tools
Experience in test automation methods and tools (MXvDEV, AutomationDesk or other tools).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience Required:
The candidate should be able to demonstrate their experience of software development and test activities and illustrate this within their current role.

Education Required:
The candidate shall be qualified to at least degree level.
