The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
To reflect my client's market position and realize our growth ambition, we require a dedicated Sales Engineer to join our Renewable Energy Solar business working under the supervision of the Power Conversion Local Business Manager and in conjunction with our Solar sales team.

The successful candidate will be liaising closely with Equipment Manufacturers, Developers and Utilities in an innovative industry. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic part of one of the world’s leading engineering companies, who help their customers to use electrical power effectively and to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way. Customer interactions will include the following:

• Analyzing customer requirements to optimise the solution offered
• Arranging Customer sales visits and networking with industry contacts
• Locating and targeting potential customers within the sector in liaison with the existing sales team
• Making presentations to customers on products and services
• Attending exhibitions, conferences and other marketing activities as required.
• Sales work direct with key accounts and via channel partners as business dictates.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Personable telephone communication skills and a confident manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, email and internet.
• Proactive ‘hands-on’ approach with an industrious work ethic.
• Motivated with the ability to organise and manage own workload.
• Results driven
• A passion for sustainable technologies
• UK Driving License
• Recognised qualification in an Electrical, Control, Mechanical or Electronic discipline e.g. HNC, Modern Apprenticeship or similar technical qualification

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Comfortable in conversing in a technical (electrical engineering) language
• Knowledge in current and emerging renewable technologies and relevant electrical standards including BS, EN, ISO, IEC, EEC and EMC.
• Experienced in preparing tender documents
• Understanding of connected electrical equipment to computer applications
• Previous experience in electrical industry customer services, internal sales or system engineering
• Presentation skills
