The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
This position is primarily responsible for the development of solution-specific project-level architectures, ensuring the consistency of solution architectures with the enterprise architecture.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Governing solution implementations to ensure consistency with the solution architecture and with architecture principles, policies and standards.
• Design and development of project-level cross-domain solution architectures.
• Monitor and govern solution implementation, ensuring consistency with the solution architecture and with architecture principles, policies and standards through the architecture compliance review process.
• Escalate compliance decisions and architecture disputes as necessary to the Enterprise Architect.
• Provide expertise to the project team in developing the detailed design, including guidance regarding enterprise middleware and system integration.
• Ensure solutions consider the Client's broader, integrated business processes and leverage appropriate integration technologies, tools and techniques in order to minimise friction between business systems.
• Balance the long term objectives of the enterprise architecture with the short terms objectives of project delivery, accountable both to the Information Systems Lead and Project Manager.
• Report implementation constraints that affect the enterprise architecture back to the Enterprise Architect for resolution.
• Make use of reference architectures to guide design decisions.
• Identify opportunities for reuse of solution components, including the creation of reference architectures.
• Collaborate with creative and technical team members to develop optimal solution architectures.
• Significant design and development experience.
• Translation of customer requests and business requirements into specifications and tangible product changes.
• Demonstrable expertise in the software systems and technologies used in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Good understanding of system integration concepts and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture modelling tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of architecture methodologies, standards and tools.
• Familiarity with case analysis techniques, modelling standards and object-oriented concepts.
• Experience in TOGAF 9 and other architecture frameworks desirable.
• Ensure delivered information systems meet business process, functional and performance expectations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in IT, or Information Management, or Knowledge Management or relevant experience.
• Excellent at engaging and dealing with people at all levels in an organisation.
• Experience setting up and running workshops.
• Excellent consultancy skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Have the ability to research and evaluate product information.
• Conduct detailed analysis to ensure best cost and performance options are considered, and recommend best practice design alternatives to systems and project teams.
• Demonstrate professional excellence when translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
• Experience working with a broad set of business areas including Exploration, Development, Projects, Producing Operations and Corporate Services.
