Job description
The Solution Architect is responsible for driving the pre-sales motions for cloud and on-premises productivity solutions with enterprise and corporate customers, resulting in solution adoption and deployment, increased market share, and revenue growth. This includes utilizing the Office 365 Customer Decision Framework to rapidly prove the value and technical fit of Office 365, aligning Microsoft Premier Deployment or Partners to support Office 365 deployment, influencing adoption of Microsoft Premier Online, developing customer trust in Microsoft’s cloud services, and partnering with the BG Solution Architect team to ensure what is sold can be delivered as a service, resulting in aligned customer expectations, a differentiated approach versus the competition, higher market share, increased customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Specific Responsibilities include:

Specific Responsibilities include:

- Work with HP sales teams to generate Office 365 and Productivity solution interest to fill and accelerate the sales pipeline through customer workshops with deep technical expertise, effective sales and presentation skills, and superior customer focus.
- Lead the technical qualification and decision-making process directly with clients, aligning with the Solution Specialist and Account Executive’s overall opportunity plan.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key technical decision-makers (aligned to relevant domains) in assigned accounts.
- Develop SI partner relationships that help build the Office 365 opportunity pipeline and lead to the deployment of Productivity solutions.

The successful candidate for the Solution Architect will have the following attributes:
- Ability to communicate effectively, and develop lasting relationships with “C” level executives, Enterprise Architects, as well as senior business or technical leaders with the highest levels of business acumen and technical expertise.
- Proven results leading complex technology implementation efforts with ‘hands on’ delivery experience in Exchange, SharePoint, Lync Server and Windows platform related tools and technologies.
- Teaming/Collaboration - Demonstrates effective cross-group collaboration skills to achieve results through influence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep technical skills with the ability to understand the customer’s IT architecture, identify risks, and translate the feature and function set into customer solutions, disqualify opportunities early in the sales cycle early in the sales cycle, and win against the competition. Enterprise Architecture experience (infrastructure) a plus.

Subject Matter Expertise
- 200 - 300 level knowledge in networking technologies
- 300 - 400 level knowledge of infrastructure design and migration -email migration experience preferable
- 300 - 400 level knowledge of SharePoint design and customization
- 100 level knowledge of the tools and resources used by customers and their Lines of Business (e.g., financial metrics and statements, industry and analyst reports, executive dashboards, etc.)
- 100 level knowledge of customers’ processes around hardware inventory, software distribution, monitoring and packaging, internal IT governance, etc.

Microsoft Products
- 400 Level knowledge in Office 365 Suite and workloads: Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Lync Online, and Office Professional Plus subscription, Blackberry Enterprise Server, and Kiosk.
- 200 to 300 Level knowledge in Microsoft collaboration products including Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Lync Server and Outlook.
- 300 to 400 Level knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, and security technologies.
