Summary: Responsible for supporting initially the Project Team and subsequently the Operations Team for co-ordination of all Spare Parts Inventory Development (SPID) activities as per the contract, project execution philosophy and specifications.
This position reports to IPMT Procurement Manager at the project stage and will move into Operations & Maintenance team once the plant is operational.

Responsibilities:
1) At the project stage ensure that EPC contractor have interacted with all suppliers to collect the Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) and identify the spare parts for inventory development of Capital, Operational and Start-up spares.
2) Understand, identify and follow up all necessary actions to complete SPID process and plan
3) At the project stage validate vendor / supplier engineering data for processing RSPLs and SPID activities
4) Liaise with EPC contractor procurement and logistics departments to monitor spare parts ordering and delivery progress, act as a single point of contact for all spare parts inventory development issues
5) Prior and during the operations stage assist in the development of required procedures and work practices for development, approvals, procurement, delivery and inventory of spare parts
6) During operations stage is responsible for the current stock inventory management and ensures compliance on stock level limit for continuous items and full consumption of non-continuous items
7) Ability with co-operation with other functions and vendors to determine which (including quantity) spare parts are necessary to guarantee a safe and uninterruptible operation per unit of equipment
8) Ensure that all items of equipment have their optimal / recommended spare parts holdings set up properly in the plant computerized spare parts management system
9) Through analysis and collaboration with other disciplines set up optimum re-order quantity
10) Perform other related duties as requested by the company management

Requirements:
a) Engineering Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with hands on experience in Construction / Operations / Maintenance activities
b) Minimum 10 years of experience dealing with identification, ordering, storing, preserving of operational and capital spare parts
c) General knowledge of operation and design of rotating and static equipment (Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Compressors, Pumps, etc.) including large engineered packages
d) Ability to read technical drawings, related to equipment, and associated schematics and bill of materials
e) Proven track record in implementing and maintaining computerized inventory or warehousing system
f) Good command of English, both written and spoken
g) Strong leadership skills, must be a self-starter with influencing skills
