The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, SCS New Technologies, the Module Leader will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of new control technologies and features into the SCS system. These functions will integrate the control of a number of systems across the vehicle platform. The Module leader will take responsible for the new technology form Programme Approval and will ensure robust hand over to the Plant Vehicle Team 90 days after start of volume production. In this role the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate a cross functional team via regular Module Business Team meetings with the common objective to deliver new technologies which satisfy the attribute performance, feature content and timing objectives demanded by the programme.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
An experienced engineer in Automotive, Electrical or Aeronautical field with:
• Strong Systems Engineering background
• Strong team player with a successful track record in team leadership and organisation
• Coordination and delegation of task to team members and maintain strong working relationships within the Module Business team
• Enthusiasm for task, strong drive and high motivation and largely self-sufficient
• Ability to work at a fast pace and deliver
• First time through results
• Ability to negotiate technical solutions within a multi-disciplinary and geographically spread team
• Ability to manage conflict and balance opposing programme demands
• Strong communication and presentation skills will be required to negotiate solutions and to report out regularly to all levels of the JLR business and supply base
• Thorough knowledge of basic quality engineering tools including FMEA and robust application of Lessons Learned from previous programmes.
• Flexible approach and able to work away from home and beyond normal hours when required
• High level user skills with the MS Office suite of software
• UK Driving Licence for Cat B vehicles
The candidate will have a track record which demonstrates:
• Experience in development of complex automotive electromechanical systems using a Systems Engineering approach
• Liaison with multiple process partners e.g. Design, Purchase & Project Management Teams
• Experience of creation of technical specifications and development plans
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or an appropriate Electrical Engineering discipline with significant ¿Systems Engineering¿ content (2:1 or above)

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
An understanding of vehicles dynamics on and off road
Experience of CAE simulation methods including Hardware In The Loop (HIL) Control system design, development & delivery particularly into JLR programmes
Track record managing programmes within JLR and of meeting JLR PCS (or GPDS) deliverable
Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or Control Systems post graduate degree
