The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
•Setting up and developing Logistics processes for a new programmes in an OEM manufacturing facility
•Parts Packaging design solutions for new model pallets & containers
•Liaising with Suppliers to agree logistic routes, packaging
•Agreeing all aspects of above with manufacturing team, purchasing, programme & Health & Safety where appropriate
•Avante process development and improvement of current delivery schedules and processes, including data management
•Creating all manufacturing processes to suits the needs of SVO programmes
•Facilitating parts red meetings against Material Readiness dates
•Managing when required a small logistics support team
•Liasing with Core MP&L to support and duplicate manufacturing processes
•Track costs to develop SVO's ability to work in a flexible approach and create a funding route for new models and current vehicle packaging requirements Taking the lead in all manufacturing MP&L elements, coordinating all necessary actions within the division working across functional areas such as programme, engineering, DHL, STA, finance, sales and marketing, as well as liaise with other OEM divisions and external suppliers.
•You will need to lead the resolution of cross-functional issues and report the project status to management on a regular basis via a range of communication channels including project team meetings and gateway status papers. "

Skills Required:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. It is essential that the individual has worked in an MP&L delivery role, ideally with whole vehicle experience.
2. Excellent communication skills: Ability to negotiate with other functions to achieve objectives and resolve issues is essential
3. High drive, self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.


Experience Required:
•It is essential that the individual has worked in an MP&L delivery role, ideally with whole vehicle experience. - Experience in projects from pre to Job 1 inc launch support. –
•Excellent knowledge of logistics design, development, and manufacturing processes and systems - Ability to negotiate with other functions to achieve objectives and resolve issues is essential –
•The ability to manage complex technical issues is essential to balance the often conflicting needs of the business, -
•Enthusiasm, drive, self motivated and able to deliver objectives with minimum supervision. –
•Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure. –
•Good leadership and influencing skills - A good level of people development and team management skill or experience. –
•Both verbal and written communication skills are important to report technical issues across all levels, and these should be combined with a confident attitude. –
•The candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. –
• A good knowledge of the automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness. - A current driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to other sites and suppliers for various meetings/events. "
Experience Preferred:
"Preferably a degree in an Engineering/Logistics/Business subject or HNC/ HND with significant experience.. Proven experience of working in a similar role within the automotive or a related industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery."
