The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
- Squeak and Rattle (S&R) Sub System Team (SST) Leader covering: Plant based S&R Team Leader - Castle Bromwich or Solihull based.
- Generation of all S&R metrics and documents.
- Present the S&R status to the Plant Vehicle Team at the relevant senior reviews.
- Attend PCPA & DQR meetings, root cause issues and respond.
- Assess with PCPA & dynamic audit as required, leading root cause investigation of issues.
- Prepare Evaluation Vehicles.
- Participate in R202 drives and VET assessment as required.
- Coordinate update of FEU fleet and responsed to FMS issues.
- Work with CoC to monitor build identifying potential S&R issues and recommending solutions.
- The S&R internal and external data.
- Ensure all lessons learnt are captured in the Core Team data base.
- Support full vehicle post build S&R testing in hydropulse and on S&R test track.
- Alignment of PCPA & dynamic audit to S&R ratings.
- Containment plans in place all issues using appropriate documents (RIS, 8D, safe VIN etc).

Skills Required:
- Good team player, able to lead a cross functional team of design, development, and manufacturing associates to identify and resolve S&R design and manufacturing issues.
- Good background in general engineering methods and standards.
- Experience of problem solving tools e.g. Six Sigma, etc. and quality engineering processes e.g. FMEA, Form 4 mapping, DOE, etc.
- Good communication and presentation skills to all levels.
- The ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside.
- Creativity and innovation; and an ablility and willingness to cooperate in cross-functional teams.
- Good data analysis and PC skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experienced vehicle assessor including right and left hand drive and manual and automatic vehicles.
- Able to pass company medical for climatic testing.
- Able to work under pressure in the manufacturing environment against tight deadlines and targets

Experience Required:
- Experience of S&R testing and root cause in environmental four post rigs and on test tracks is desirable.
- Experience of working in the manufacturing environment preferably with the motor industry.
- Ideally experienced in AIMS and Product Change Management

Experience Preferred:
- Experience of working with an OEM automotive company within a Squeak and Rattle quality improvement team.
- Six sigma training and experience.

Education Required:
- bHND/Degree in Engineering or comparable qualification or relevant experience.

Additional Information :
- 40 Hours finishing no earlier than 3.30pm on Fridays Solihull, Castle Bromwich, Gaydon.
