The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role is within the Human Factors Attribute team whose primary focus is on vehicle programme support and the delivery of Attribute targets. Part of this task includes the application of internal Standards to ensure consistency across vehicles. The successful candidate shall be responsible for the management and upkeep of the Attribute's existing Standards and their associated Test Procedures (TP), and will be responsible for the creation of future Standards and TPs. - Ensuring that Standards and TPs are worded and structured so that they can be successfully applied by other members of the Human Factors Attribute team - Targeted creation of new Standards (in areas that will most benefit the Attribute team) - Application of benchmarking data and quality data to Standards - Proactively pushing new Standards through the approval process (includes resolving areas of disagreement with stakeholders) - Acting as the primary contact point for the queries relating to the Standards and TPs. The work will require close cooperation with other members of the Human Factors Attribute team to ensure successful implementation of the Standards across vehicle programmes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates need to be able to demonstrate an ability to write clearly with experience of writing Standards / technical documentation. Ability to interpret data and to correctly apply that learning to help guide new standards. Must be able to robustly defend their proposals, whilst at the same time taking on board the opinions of others

Writing Standards / technical documentation

Educated to degree level or equivalent in related discipline (e.g. Ergonomics / Human Factors).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge and interest of automotive industry trends. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to short timescales & deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised within the local team and interfacing across business functions

Experience within the automotive industry SDOTS system (JLR) DOORS requirement management system
