Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
"The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of Inlets (sockets), Cables and Couplers (plugs) in support of Hybrids and Electrification. The role shall include definition of requirements, design validation methods, validation testing, system integration and supplier management in accordance with company development process. The successful candidate will report to the Off-Board Charging Group Leader. Decomposition and development of both internal and external (IEC, SAE, GBT and ISO) standards for Inlets, Cables and Couplers (including domestic connectors). Design, development and validation of Inlets, Cables and Couplers and associated EDS, Delivery of Inlets, Cables and Couplers to J1 and support thereafter (Whole lifecycle) Close liaison with specialist engineers regarding Power Electronics, Communications, Packaging and EMC. Ownership of requirements for the Inlets, Cables and Couplers Components. System Integration. Supplier management"
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Hazardous Voltage EDS (Connectors, Cables) including domestic
2. General EDS design experience in automotive environment"
3. Development of new design validation methods for Hazardous Voltage EDS"
Experience Required: "The successful candidate will also possess the following skills: Compliance Engineering to external standards (CE, CEC, UL) Electrical enclosures, EDS, associated materials and degrees of protection, drainage and contamination Knowledge of electrical power and associated protection devices. DFMEA for electrical systems and EDS Min 5 Years in electrical / electronics engineering Degree qualified in Electrical and or Electronics engineering"
