Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
Test Rig Design Engineer - To deliver mechanical test rig designs in support of base programme and SVO activities within Structural Test Laboratories, Road Load Data and Vehicle Safety Test departments. The position will be to lead projects from concept through to final delivery within the area.
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Expert user of Catia V5 within a mechanical design environment. Capability: solid modelling (parts and assemblies), 2D drawing generation.
2. "Good mechanical engineering knowledge including material selection, bearing selection, mechanisms, bolted joints. Knowledge of CAE methodology for design validation."
3. Project management skills with the ability to lead projects from concept through to final delivery.
