The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Appearance Approval of Aesthetic Components.

This role is to monitor/ nurture and approve components to a visual acceptable customer appearance.

The role will engage with working within all areas of the business and a wide range of suppliers within the automotive sector.

This will engage in organising sessions across the business and supply base to work to an acceptable position for components that interact with the customer for colour harmony and appearance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to understand colour, must be munsell test approved, understand and be efficient in the use of Data Color, Wavescan measurements, Byc Mac use and data management, Gloss meter. Creation and maintenance of material legends, competitor data capture, development and target setting for the Perceived Quality team within Body Engineering.
Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time Liaise with other areas within Body Engineering, other affected functional areas, Design, Manufacturing, the supply base and programme teams, to ensure compatibility issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Must understand colour and be efficient in the use of the tools to measure and approve colour.
Engineering knowledge of Trim component design, material specifications material manufacture, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements in the Automotive sector.
Proven project time line management.
Ability to work under own init

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of client facilities
Working knowledge of project delivery processes "PCS"
