The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities & Tasks: -
* Lead the system design of a new Suspension Technology.
* Support product attribute teams (e.g. Vehicle Dynamics, NVH) to develop performance targets.
* Develop and manage system requirements.
* Cascade requirements to suppliers and interfacing teams.
* Lead the geometric packaging of the system.
* Lead the development of the system to achieve attribute and cost targets.
* Utilise a suite of Quality Tools for Failure Mode Avoidance.
* Utilise physical and virtual detection techniques to validate the system.
* Maintain a validation status against requirements.
* Present project status to Senior management.
* Liaise with other engineering teams on technology development & deployment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* 5 years experience of Electromechanical System Design within the Automotive Industry.
* Proven knowledge of Suspension system design.
* Proven ability to deliver a complex mechatronic system from concept to production.
* Proven leadership, team working and communication skills.
* Self motivated and capable of working independently.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Proficient in Matlab data analysis techniques.
* Able to use functional CAE tools for vehicle and component analysis.
