The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of the Charger in support of Electrification. The role shall include definition of requirements, design validation methods, validation testing, system integration and supplier management in accordance with the development process. The successful candidate will report to the Off-Board Charging Group Leader. Decomposition and development of both internal and external (IEC, ISO, SAE, and IETF) standards for On-board Charger. Design, development and validation of On-board Charger Component using the development process. Delivery of On-board Charger and support thereafter (Whole lifecycle). Close liaison with specialist engineers regarding Power Electronics, Communications, Packaging and EMC. Ownership of requirements for the Charger Component. System Integration and Supplier management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 key skills; Power electronic converters (semiconductors, passives, electromagnetic compatibility , control, cooling). Electrical enclosures associated materials and degrees of protection. Development of new design validation methods for Power Electronics and DFMEA for electrical systems. Experience with Plug-in Charging Systems also desirable in addition to: Familiarity with relevant regulation and standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications: Degree qualified in Electrical and or Electronics engineering. Knowledge of project management in a systems engineering environment. Compliance Engineering to external standards (CE, CCC, FCC) including EMC and Magnetic Field Safety. Power electronic converters (semiconductors, passives, electromagnetic compatibility , control, cooling). General electronics design experience in automotive environment. Electrical enclosures associated materials and degrees of protection. Knowledge of electrical power and associated protection devices. Development of new design validation methods for Power Electronics DFMEA for electrical systems. Min 5 Years in electrical / electronics engineering.
