The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Charging EVSE Specialist Reporting to the Off-board Charging Group Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for a number of key deliverables in support of Programmes related to Charging Equipment for Plug-in Electric Vehicles. The candidate shall be responsible for: Research and development into charging equipment including electronics, materials, packaging, installation. Decomposition and development of both internal and external (IEC, ISO, SAE, and IETF) standards for charging equipment and it's installation. Design, development and validation of charging equipment using GTDS process. Delivery of charging equipment to gateway including project management. Support delivery of charging equipment to support vehicle programmes. Close liaison with research activities related to charging communications, Charging Power Electronics and EDS with both internal and external stakeholders. Ownership of requirements for wired and wireless charging equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 key skills; Compliance Engineering (CE, CCC, FCC, and UL) Electrical protection devices (Overcurrent Protection and Leakage Detection). Knowledge of electrical installation (cabling, eathing, protection, regulation). Experience with Plug-in Charging Systems also desirable in addition to: Project management, Familiarity with relevant regulation and standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The candidate will also require the following skills: Electrical enclosures associated materials and degrees of protection. Electronics design Microcontrollers and associated I/O, Schematic Capture, Layout. Knowledge SysML and Finitie State Machine Design. DFMEA for electrical systems. Min 5 Years in electrical / electronics engineering (electrical products commercial and or domestic) Degree qualified in Electrical and or Electronics engineering.
