The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Powertrain Research supports the Powertrain Advanced Engineering team in delivery of new technologies to support future powertrain requirements. This role will be based in the Powertrain Combustion and Emissions Research team. This role provides a unique opportunity to be a part of our clients future powertrain development.
- Define, lead and deliver emissions research projects using our clients delivery processes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate technical advances and provide technical expertise.
- Solve highly technical challenges using best practice processes.
- Lead collaborative research projects which include internal, research partners, suppliers, Universities and government agencies.
- Manage external relationships with system suppliers and partners within new technology programmes.
- Support strategy research planning processes.
- Identify and develop powertrain innovations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1) Excellent planning and project management skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic, good communication skills (both verbal and written), and a good team player
2) Emissions technology knowledge and emissions test and development experience.
3) Experience liaising with suppliers and multiple stakeholders.

Relevant engineering or science degree

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Vehicle emissions development experience
- Aftertreatment modelling experience
- Combustion development knowledge and experience
- Engine performance and emissions development
- Vehicle calibration experience
- Leadership of multi-disciplinary research teams
