The Role:
Ergonomics APC (Advanced Product Creation) support for A&U (Accommodation & Usability). For specific advanced vehicle programmes, support the development of the Accommodation and Usability attribute: i.e. develop & set targets, develop the vehicle concept with Design & Engineering, ensure adherence to relevant standards, lead problem resolution and validate delivery throughout the vehicle design & development process. "
Skills Required:
"Sound understanding of ergonomics design principles in the automotive arena. Must have ergonomics experience and a formal ergonomics qualification. Must be experienced in design of experiments and running user trials. Clear and concise communicator. Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard. Proven ability to manage workload and deliver to short timescales & deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised within the local team and interfacing across business functions."
Skills Preferred:
Interpretation of customer quality data (e.g. JD Power)
Experience Required:
Must have experience of vehicle ergonomics or ergonomics in product design.
Experience Preferred:
"Familiarity with Premium automotive sector, products and features. Competitor research/benchmarking (physical & web-based).
Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a related discipline (Human Factors, Ergonomics)
Education Preferred:
Higher qualification (e.g. MSc in Ergonomics)
