The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities include: Lead and develop research projects investigating aspects li-ion cells within an automotive environment Develop system requirements for Li-ion cells in a high voltage traction battery. Develop test methodology for automotive Li-ion cell characterisation. Carry out testing on Li-ion cells Generate Cell requirements documentation and manage requirements cascade through DOORS Project documentation and presentation Interface with cell suppliers and communicate appropriate test procedures and requirements and perform subsequent data analysis Engage with key project stakeholders around the business including Hybrid, Service, Manufacturing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 years experience working with electrochemical systems
Background in electrochemical systems, materials chemistry. Analysis and interpretation of electrochemical data
Experience of Li-ion systems, basic electrical systems modelling

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Masters level degree in relevant field, Ph.D. in relevant field preferred
High Voltage training, use of cell cycling equipment
Experience of working on Li-ion systems. Developing and writing test procedures. Basic understanding of system engineering approach
