The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role of Programme Lead Engineer is to co-ordinate all aspects of supplier management/interaction, software management, programme management and budget management for assigned programmes. In addition to ensure the teams meet the gateway requirements and deliverables. This role requires a good level of technical knowledge / experience.

Primarily based at Whitley but must be willing to travel to other sites (Gaydon) / Facility providers (Universities / Consultancies).

Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain control systems (or similar). Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Proven Project Management and negotiation skills are essential. Must be a self starter able to work alone and as part of large team. Experienced in component or system delivery able to demonstrate supplier, budget and programme management. Minimum requirement of 3 years in Automotive, Aviation or Electronics Engineering with technical background. Good understanding & application of Design quality tools (DFMEA, Robustness, etc.). Good analytical skills & PC literate. Full Driving licence. Degree or equivalent.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Green Belt trained. Experience with EMS software specifications / mechanisations. Understanding of electronic control systems and EMS systems (software specifications/mechanisations) would be an advantage. Good working knowledge of AIM, WERS, RPS, eFDVS and RMDV systems. Understanding of electronic control systems would be an advantage. Working knowledge of INCA, CANalyser, SCANTools or similar.
