The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Manage all aspects of emissions defect reporting and closure drive implementation of permanent corrective actions. Review none compliance triggers, facilitate assessments and draft recommendations for approval. Manage none compliance investigations; facilitating cross departmental and functional reviews to ensure timely product and robust process closure. EPRC secretary; manage agendas and minutes; liaise with homologation engineers in key markets. Develop and maintain Key Performance Metrics for Defect Investigations and Reporting. Ensure all key information and documentation is managed in accordance with company procedures. Manage a small team of engineers investigating none compliant vehicles. Support compliance testing/investigations at UK and overseas test sites.

Flexibility to travel and work between sites (Whitley, Gaydon and EMC) and external test facilities is essential (must hold full & valid driving license).


Skills & Experience Required:
Working knowledge of diesel/gasoline engine emissions components and control strategies. Working knowledge of problem solving and quality tools. A passion for resolving issues and ensuring corrective actions are in place at a business level. Ability to leverage key internal and external stakeholders to make things happen. Highly self-motivated and able to act on initiative. Able to process and summarise effectively complex and potentially incomplete information sets. Able to compile and deliver effective timing plans. Able to develop and deploy Key Performance Indicators.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of working in any of the following areas - Product Investigation, Technical Service, Critical Investigations, Certification, Engine Calibration, Emissions Testing or Delivery Role. Experience of Web Top, e-tracker, web site administration, conference calls or net meetings. Able to log & interrogate vehicle systems/behaviour using tools such as INCA, ASL or equivalent 6 Sigma Certified Green Belt WERS/AWS/Minitab/SPC.
