The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Powertrain Programme Management team is split into pre- (Advanced Product Creation) and post- (Delivery) teams, which are responsible for delivering all programs from concept through to Job#1. This opportunity is a new role within the post- (Delivery) team.
The role Manage new Powertrain programmes to ensure they are delivered on time and with quality.
- Manage the team in the planning, delivery and reporting of all actions relating to Powertrain components, systems and calibrations; using PCDS and other company frameworks.
- Lead the management of programme content, assumptions, resources and financial spend via Redbook and the PAS sheet process, to ensure PT budget is secured.
- Lead the management of Powertrain's programme health status and cross departmental activities using the key programme metrics (e.g. Programme Central, XPT Tracker, PT Metrics).
- Lead the management of Powertrain's input to vehicle programme team meetings; such as Programme Steering Team, Vehicle Integration Team, Daily Start-up, PACN meetings, Cost Risk & Opportunity meetings etc.
- Lead the management of weekly internal meetings such as Powertrain Steering Team, project timing meetings, AIMs reviews, Module Leader meetings, Powertrain Technical meetings, Cost Risk & Opportunity meetings etc.
- Support the inputs to Product Development Letter responses, e-PAS and PAS sheet creation; working with Powertrain Business Planning to ensure departmental resources are aligned to PD Budgets.
- Work with vehicle programme and departmental representatives to ensure all papers / presentations reporting status vs. targets are created; and presented to all appropriate forums including CPE/CFE reviews, PIR, VITs and PD Issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of powertrain systems and areas.
- Knowledge of product development processes and PCDS principles.
- Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a team environment.
- Ability to interface directly with the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain department.
- Programme/project management, meeting demanding timescales, and budget control.
- Qualified to degree level; and computer literate in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google.
- Self-confidence and a 'passion for the product’.
- Numerate and literate.
