The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position description: the client is currently developing product actions to improve and expand its range of premium vehicles and best in class engines. To support this growth we are now seeking a new addition to our team. The successful applicant will join the Powertrain Advanced Product Creation team to lead the identification and selection of the Powertrain components which meet the requirements and performance expected by our customers. This will be a long term contract initially until March 2016 with the potential to be renewed yearly. Key Tasks: Conducting analysis of the engineering solutions available to meet customers requirements. Ensure vehicle performance, efficiency and functional targets are specified and achievable. Manage programme finances to an agreed target, including initial investment and material costs. Work closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure the powertrain systems selected meet their requirements e.g. Design, Manufacturing and Service. Manage key performance indicators; closely monitoring financial, technical and design status to targets. Reporting this information to key stakeholders both within and outside the Powertrain department, including senior management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A good level of knowledge of Powertrain systems. The ability to resolve technical and process issues within a diverse Project Team. Ability to generate cost versus benefit business cases. Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, Qualified to degree level, computer literate in Google apps and Microsoft Office. Experience of working on Powertrain Systems within the Automotive industry. Experience of program or project management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost effective delivery. Educated to a degree level, or equivalent, in a related Mechanical or Automotive discipline. Driving license.
