The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position description: The Client are currently developing product actions to improve and expand its range of premium vehicles and best in class engines. To support this growth we are now seeking a new addition to our team. The successful applicant will join the Powertrain Advanced Product Creation team to lead the identification and selection of the Powertrain components which meet the requirements and performance expected by our customers. This will be a long term contract initially until March 2016 with the potential to be renewed yearly. Key Tasks: -
Accountable for the package compatibility for a dedicated platform
Accountable for the gap strategy delivery for a dedicated platform
Manage the complexity challenge through the platform
Enhance the relationships between PT system engineering team and Package team
Clarify the technical assumptions and manage the attributes roll-out (including weight)
Create strong relationships with the core team (PZEM) to improve the acknowledgement of the PT's constraints
Insure that Module Leaders and Technical Specialists are involved in the pre phase
Insure the continuity between the Major Units world and the APC world
Manage the CAE work-plan

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably degree qualified
Previous experience within vehicle engineering or powertrain
Customer oriented
Good understanding of the attributes interaction and of the system engineering
Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product'
Ability to deliver with minimum supervision
Ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
A good working knowledge of PCDS is essential
Experience of working on Powertrain Systems within the Automotive industry
Experience of program or project management, meeting
Educated to a degree level, or equivalent, in a related Mechanical or Automotive discipline.
